Biggest Loser Project

September 21st, 2009 by kmcdonald6th in Uncategorized · No Comments

In math, we are starting a new project, using the show The Biggest Loser. Students will be following a contestant they have chosen, calculating how much weight and % of body fat he or she has lost, making predictions, and puting this data on a chart. At the end of the show, students will create a graph from their data. All of this will be graded.

I have sent home a rubric (purple piece of paper) showing everything I will be grading in this project. Please email me if you have any questions.

I WILL NOT be requiring the students to watch the show each week. We will look up the data together online after each show. If you would like to watch the show with your child and follow their contestant, please feel free to do so. Biggest Loser comes on NBC Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm.
